Since time immemorial, Indigenous peoples have walked gently on the diverse traditional territories where the staff of Employment Connections North Corp. is grateful to live, work, learn, and play. We are committed to building and nurturing relationships with Indigenous peoples, we acknowledge the traditional lands of the Dane-zaa peoples and the Homeland of the Métis, and we thank them for their hospitality.

Employment Connections North Corp. (ECNC), also known as Employment Connections, was established in 1999. ECNC has strived to meet the needs of our community for over twenty (20) years. ECNC has earned a positive reputation from job seekers, employers, and the community alike as “the place to go” when looking for anything employment related.

Our employees are supported with professional development and are encouraged to achieve the Certified Career Practitioner Designation (CCDP) from the BC Career Development Association. To empower all persons seeking employment and self-reliance by providing related services and information in a positive, respectful atmosphere.

ECNC is committed to delivering a full suite of employment programs and services to unemployed and precariously employed British Columbians and eligible clients in our region. With short-term and long-term interventions available, we provide assistance to both find and maintain employment.

The services offered to employers in our region are critical in aligning our clients with available jobs, as well as assisting employers with their labour market needs. We serve a diverse clientele and have tailored programming for: youth, older workers, newcomers, and persons with disabilities or other barriers.

Since opening our doors, ECNC has gained the reputation of being a critical service to the community and surrounding area. ECNC has served thousands of clients and is experienced in providing employers with vital services and support. The labour market in the Northeast is rapidly changing, and ECNC is qualified to identify gaps and best practices to address those gaps using a wide range of strategies and techniques. ECNC is a results-based organization that consistently demonstrates a commitment to meeting the needs of clients, employers and our community while maintaining alignment with the Government of BC objective of finding the most direct route to labour market attachment.
