Job Description:

We provide transportation from Fort St. John to the camp, as well as lodging, all meals and uniforms. Competitive salary and loyalty bonuses are just some of the perks in our positive team environment.
  
Duties and Responsibilities:
As a full-time First Cook, you must be capable of applying for all positions in the work area, Sous Chef, Chef and eventually the Executive Chef/ Kitchen Manager position.  Ensuring all meals are prepared and served on time and to the highest standards for our clients are a must at Wonowon Lodge. Other duties include:

•  Preparation of all items in accordance with standard recipes approved by the Executive Chef
•  Assist in menu planning, inventory counts and grocery orders
•  Ensure consistency in food delivery including cooking, handling, storing and labeling products (FIFO) in accordance with FOODSAFE standards
•  Familiar with all equipment and cooking methods while maintaining strict compliance with all Health and Safety standards
•  Conscious control of waste and portion control
•  Support of kitchen staff in ensuring superior standards and attention to detail of all products
•  Assist on maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all dining and kitchen areas
•  Proper use of chemicals, including cleaning and sanitizing agents
Reports to work well-groomed, in uniform, and practices good personal hygiene at all times

Job Requirements:

•  Minimum  3+ years' experience
•  High School Certificate or equivalent education required
•  Thorough knowledge of standard recipes, food products and proper preparation
•  Must have a practical and theoretical background in all areas of the kitchen
•  Ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
•  Good communication and organization  skills
•  Fluent in English; both verbal and written
