Job Description

In this role, you will interface with clients and staff (program and project managers) to set up, manage and report on assessment and remediation activities related to upstream and mid-stream oil gas and facilities and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the District Manager, the Team Lead will develop and maintain positive client relationships focused on providing top-quality service in various environmental programs.

What would you be doing?

  • Overall management of environmental client portfolios.
  • Managing program and project managers and mentoring/training junior/intermediate staff.
  • Coordinate and provide technical guidance and review for assessment and remediation programs, including Phase I/II ESA, Stage 1/2 PSI, and small- to extensive-scale remediation.
  • Business development and marketing with current or new client relationships to grow and expand the environmental services business line.
  • Cost tracking, reporting, forecasting, and technical review.
  • Implement corporate and client safety programs.
  • Ensure that project requirements are met in a timely and effective manner.

  • $110,000 - $125,000/year, your compensation will be based on your cumulative skills, education and work experience.

This permanent position will be based out of our Fort St John Office. Relocation assistance is available. 


Does this sound like you?

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental consulting.
  • Must possess or be eligible for professional designation (P.Ag, RP.Bio, P.Eng, P.Geo., etc.).
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of BC environmental regulations (BCER and/or ENV).
  • Experience assessing and remedying various land uses for upstream oil and gas well sites and facilities (Agricultural, forested, & muskeg).
  • Proficiency in planning and control of work in a multi-project, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with team members from various diverse backgrounds.
  • Able to prioritize work, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume team.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving with a strong ability to take initiative.
  • Must have excellent ability to influence and communicate.
  • Must have proven established client relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to strengthen relationships across various organizational business units.

You will bring more than 8+ years of relevant environmental consulting experience in the Oil and Gas sector. The selected candidate will have a technical Diploma or University Degree in environmental science or related discipline. You also must possess or be eligible for professional designation (P.Ag, RP.Bio, P.Eng, P.Geo., etc.).
