Job Description
We are seeking Welder Helpers for a pipeline project in the Fort St. John area.
This position is expected to start in early March and it is expected to finish at the end of May. There is camp available for non-local workers.
What would you be doing?
- Assist welders in using different welding processes and fillers depending upon the type of metal, its size and shape, and requirements for finished product strength. Cutting, grinding, and smoothing sharp edges of metal
- Assist welders in getting them materials, setting up equipment, and preparing tools
- Assist welders with the layout of materials
- Travel to client facility to assist journeyperson welders
- Other duties as assigned

Other important details
This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of a drug and alcohol testing.
Qualifications
Does this sound like you?
- 1+years as a Welder Helper experience
- Ability to read and understand complex instructions
- Ability to do careful and exacting work
- Valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, TDG, WHMIS, and Common Safet Orientation tickets are required.
- Must have your own transportation and be able to travel to client sites
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required
